Application Deadline is Tuesday

Hunters are reminded that the application deadline for the elk and pronghorn antelope draw is 7 p.m. (MST) this Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010.

Remember, applications must be received by the department by that time; postmarks don’t count. If you haven’t yet submitted your application, it is recommended you hand deliver it to one of the seven Game and Fish offices across the state.

There is no online application service available.

Recent weather events brought large amounts of runoff into some lakes. For many lakes, the fresh water helped to improve oxygen levels and lower the pH levels making for better fishing conditions. A few lakes became more turbid from suspended soil sediments brought in from runoff or muddy water from the canals.
