Hunting applications accepted at two additional locations due to Wallow Fire

PINETOP, Ariz. — Due to the impacts from the Wallow fire to the citizens in northeastern Arizona, a core outdoor-recreation community, the Arizona Game and Fish Department will be accepting hand-delivered hunt applications at the Post Offices in Springerville and Eager on Tuesday.

All applicants are reminded that the deadline to apply (Tuesday, June 14) has not changed.

  • The Springerville Post Office is located at 5 E. Main Street. They are open, and accepting applications from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
  • The Eager Post Office is located at 113 W. Central Avenue. They are open, and accepting applications from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Both locations have the materials necessary to apply, including applications, envelopes and the regulations with drawing information.

For those that can travel and/or need more time to apply, the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s Pinetop office will be accepting applications until the official June 14, 7 p.m. (MST) deadline. Please note that license sales and other regular business activities cease at 5 p.m.

  • The Pinetop regional office is located at 2878 E. White Mountain Blvd.; for customer service, call (928) 367-4281.

In an effort to make accommodations for our constituents during this time of crisis, the Arizona Game and Fish director can and has authorized the department to accept hand-delivered applications at these secure and controlled remote locations.

For those with Internet access, applications and drawing information can be found at www.azgfd.gov/draw. Unfortunately, there is no online application system. All applications must be hand-delivered to Game and Fish to be entered in the draw.

For more Game and Fish related information for the White Mountain area, check out the Pinetop Region’s Facebook page by searching “Arizona Game and Fish Pinetop Region” and hit the “like” button.
