Arizona Game and Fish Commission to hold telephonic meeting Aug. 22

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Game and Fish Commission will hold a telephonic meeting Friday, Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. (MST) at the Arizona Game and Fish Department headquarters in Phoenix.

The Commission will be asked to approve the Big Sandy River-Planet Ranch Settlement Agreement. Under the agreement, Freeport Minerals Corporation will donate to the Commission in fee title a portion of Planet Ranch that will be used by the Bureau of Reclamation under a 50-year lease for habitat restoration under the Lower Colorado River Multi-Species Program.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department headquarters is located at 5000 W. Carefree Highway in Phoenix (1.5 miles west of I-17). Members of the Commission will attend the meeting either in person or by telephone conference call. The public is invited to attend.

The meeting will also be webcast at www.azgfd.gov/commissioncam. Members of the public who wish to speak to the Commission on this topic must be present in person at the meeting and fill out a speaker’s card.
