The Archery Drive roadway will be slurry-sealed this Saturday, June 18, from Carefree Highway at the Game and Fish headquarters, to Skeet Drive of the Clay Target Center.

Shooters using the Clay Target Center are advised to enter from the Ben Avery Shooting Facilities Main Range entrance directly west of I-17 during this process.

On the early show April 12, 2011, KNXV-15 television showed a report on the pending hearings in Congress on extended capacity magazines for handguns. They used a backdrop of our Ben Avery Shooting Facility entrance sign for their video reporter’s standup. Attached is a letter from us to Channel 15 regarding that story.

Game and Fish to consider alternative sites for the Northern Arizona Shooting Facility

PHOENIX – The Arizona Game and Fish Department has surveyed 13 alternative sites for consideration along with the Willard Springs site for the establishment of public shooting range in northern Arizona.

The Arizona Game and Fish Commission directed the department in March to produce a list of potential alternative approaches due to a multi-year timeline forecast by the Coconino National Forest to complete a land exchange for the Willard Springs site.
