hey

if your looking for a good spot to fish for little kids go to discovery park its to the right of the 101 freeway higley in gilbert. I go there a lot for just small fishing cause its fun fishing all you do is free float a worm and hopefully you'll have some luck

Thanks Bud I will go out and search for this place. Where can I get some big Bass? Thats what they want to get, They got hooked on Bass fishing watching versus on cable 69. lol thanks for the tip.

hey well right now for big bass try an urban community.they hold some good fish. Greatoutdoorsman81 is right you can catch some nice bass and catfish at discovery park. Right now Veterans Oasis in Chandler the bass are spawning try a bluegill swimbait or some spinners. Some times the fishing is perfect there sometimes it isn't. I've been and saw 37 carp (i counted them lol) in one area they were all pretty nice sized. We've caught a couple of bass there. Try lakes all around a park lake an urban lake or a housing community lake all work well. If you ask the a golf course manager to fish on his golf course and he says yes you are in luck. First cast with a trout spinner I had 3 bass following my lure. I caught one on first cast released it and left lol. good luck

Let all take a step back, and take a look at Gonzo 8209's comment again! It reads "Where did you catch that at ? Tryn to teach my kids how to catch bass! First, the cannals in mesa are vary good at teaching kids to catch bass! They teach you how to structure fish, how to fish in a curent , and how to sucsesfully retreive lures from snags! I have caught 4 6lb bass over the last 2 years & 1 5lb this year! Last year when they drianed the canal, they netted up all the fish and I saw 1 to over10 + lbs

Wow!! I never fish the canals and i live in gilbert/mesa.. where are you fishing these canals at... Ive been fishing the farm bureau on higley and elliot and have caught some nice bass

I'm sorry, I should have put this in my last coment. I have been catching these many more, that I haven't been able to post. Between Braodway & up to & behind the Pro-bass shop. On the tempe-mesa border. I have 4-6Lb in the last 3 years and 1 5 lbder this year!
